If anyone knows, are any of the Gundam series as heavy as Evangelion or Gurren Lagann in terms of psychological philosophy?

Or is it just plainly giant robots beating the shit out of each other?

Eva's just a clusterfuck compilation of random notions of existential philosophy and freudian psychology put together to make an incoherent plot/story

majority of the Gundam series works have more structure to its plots and themes, though simple, still remain entertaining (at least for me)

but none of them come to mind if I were to compare it to either series you mentioned, I haven't done any re-runs as of late either so I can't really remember; I just know it's not 'plainly giant robots beating the shit out of each other'

Relax man. I'm not comparing anything because I've never seen any of the Gundam's at all, so I have no right to.
The only thing I compared was their Genres (mecha) and was wondering if they have the same symbolism/morals and psychological atmosphere as those two.
I'm asking you guys if I should watch them, like if they're on the same lines as those two and not just mindless mecha's beating the shit out of each other and there's more of a psychological feeling to it as well.

And I don't know what you're talking about, I've seen older classics like Lupin III and Dragonball and I loved them.

It's just like comparing old games and new games.

People are more attracted to animation quality than anything else.
