I started watching this few days ago, and noticed theres a newer version which, unless my source is wrong, tends to be more accurate with the original manga. I started the older version and I am wondering if I should stick with it or switch to the more recent one? Or would you recommend both?

IMO, new one is better
but i dislike the soundtracks

Any idea on the difference between both stories? I know its from the same manga, but from what I heard, they a slightly different. For example, I watched the first 3 episodes of the older version, and that would only equal to the first one in the newer anime.

No idea if any of them got filler though..

I do remember that they removed the scene where Gon meet his father's apprentice on the first episode. Maybe they'll do a flashback on how Gon got motivated to become a hunter or maybe they're going to twist the story a bit.

I'd stick with the newer one. The old one was awesome, but it was only awesome because the hxh story was awesome. I prefer the newer one.

i dont know why people like the newer one more, just because the story is more true to the manga certainly doesnt make it better.

the art style in the original is better, its darker and has more of that old school feel to it.
the voice actors all match the characters and their personalities.

idk, maybe its just me.

Hmmm I see. AT the end, it might be pretty similar overall with slight differences throughout the ANime.



I might switch to the newer one sometimes soon, but the thing is, the newer version still has some episodes coming out, so its not done yet. I am pretty sure I will be watching them at a much faster pace then the new episodes will come out, which is kinda of a pain (waiting for 1 episode a week). The older one on the other hand has every episodes out, so I can watch them whenever I want until the end of it. Thats a big point for the old version



Haha agreed. Tbh, it kinda reminds me of the original DB when Goku is young and so innocent. I like the old art and the music

Anyway, as I said, I think I will stay with the older one cause every episode is out already.

After watching both, I prefer the old.

MAy I ask which one you watched first? Sometimes, the first version you watch is the one you will like the most.

I watched the older one first. But certain scenes like gon vs hisoka were better in the first imo.
Plus, the newer version has a ton of episodes to catch up on.
