I can stream off of crunchyroll, but is there a way you can you download it?

Download it to your pc and then upload it to your phone via your usb device and then just download a player off the app store. That should work.

to upload i usually use winscp or ifunbox, they work pretty good/fast

That's what I do.
I have an Android, and I just put the files on my phone, an play them with MXplayer.

You can switch audio/subs too.

I wish some group of people would re-encode releases to the Format Profile MAIN@L3.1. I believe the term for that is AVC levels.
But no, the people who re-encode videos make it 4.0 or 5.0

Vita can't play past 3.1 I have to encode it myself, and the encoding times are 1:1. 24 minutes to convert a 24 minute show.

Oh, I hope this post doesn't get me 10%... last time I talked about encoding...

I use DeadFish or aassadas subs.

They convert it for ipod touch/iphone format.

Download the actual file then convert it into w/e your phone is capable of using. MP4 I assume.
