Randomly browsing netflix to see if they'll ever add the English audio version of DeathNote, and I come across Darker than Black. I'm on season 3 or 4 (which isn't saying much considering they only supply around 4 episodes per season, with a total of 6 seasons).

I highly recommend it to all of you who haven't heard of it. And to those who have, no spoilers please!

Also, how is the sequel series? I forget what it's called.

Season 2 i feel isn't near as good as Season 1 was imo. I'm looking forward to season 3 and how it will turn out.

Are you talking about Gemini of the Meteor, or the first series? I found season 2 episodes lacking as well. The US television run hasn't gotten to S3 yet right?

Yes, In netflix they are Separate Volumes not seasons so all of them together make season 1.
I remember talk that there was going to be a Season 3 in a topic awhile back and that it was a Prequel to Season 1 so it sounds good so far but i heard its a rumor so it might not be true

Gemini of the Meteors did lack but that's just because they left A LOT unsolved even with the OVA's included later on.
A lot of the names and references used in S2 had to do with Japanese Mythology so IF they make a S3 and expand on that it could turn out to be REALLLLY good.
Just gotta cross your fingers and hope for the best.

i think it's just rumors tho but i wouldn't be surprised, it was a pretty good series.

didn't do too hot w/ S2. I remember reading somewhere that the OVAs sold would greatly determine whether or not they could afford to make a next season.

y do ppl always say season 1 and season 2. is season 1 with like the more metalish darker opening then 2nd is the one with the car racing and fasterpaced?
