Nothing compares to watching this anime the first time through. The whole concept was so god damn disturbed it kept you guessing at every moment.

Haven't finished the original anime now that I think of it. Only the manga + Brotherhood.

brotherhood had prettier storyline, more solid of sort. with happy ending of course. very "animelike".
