ok so if you have been part of the anime forums here on d2jsp for any amount of time you might have noticed some things about me ( other than my elitist attitude when it comes to things like one piece and bleach something I'll try to work on )

but how I will post merchandise or info about events I think is cool or how anytime someone asks a good site to stream anime my response is always netflix/hulu/cruchyroll.

I am not doing these things because I work for some anime company and I want to line my pockets with cash, it is because believe it or not anime is dying a slow and sad death.

well now Gigguk has made his latest rant about the topic and people are calling him a sellout for it?? I'm sorry but that puts my piss in a boil.. I urge any of you who read this to wake up to the fact that it is going downhill fast and we only have ourselves to blame.

and just so you all know I am not tryin to suggest that I am the perfect anime fan by trying to encourage people to support the industry, I have been downloading Shakugan no Shana 3 illegally because I wanted to watch it in better quality.

after seeing this latest rant tho I got a premium cruchyroll membership just for Shana and will be watching it in a way that helps support it in the future, also I have already set aside a outrageous amount of money for the blu ray when it comes out ( I'm sure it will be over $400 )

I know you all don't have the kind of cash I do to do things like buy a blu ray for half a grand, but you can still help with no money at all but just streaming from a site like cruchyroll..

yes you will have to watch 2-3 commercials but you are not spending anything so is that really so horrible?

anyways I hope this wakes a few of you up and you will make some small changes in the way you view anime

I've been watching only from official sites for a couple years now, they spend a lot of time and money making it so I really shouldn't steal it when there is an alternative; bit of a dirty subject here though since everyone will just say "streaming sucks" etc etc and keep downloading

I'm not gonna watch your rant sry but today's anime is pretty shitty if you ask me.Moe,loli,fan service everywhere and they do this cause this is the way to go if you want a big income.Sometimes there is an exception here and there but mostly it's going downhill.This is only my opinion though,I appreciate plot a lot more than animation quality which is getting better of course.I don't really want to pay for these stories and the other thing is I don't like the official subs.I think if you know who are producing the best translation it's better to go with a fansub group just because I like their translation more.If I had the money(I'm only a university student) I would buy a lot more things then I do now but even then I would prefer the fansubs simply because it's better.Also I hate every dub,I want to hear the glorious Japanese language.

/e Oh and a lot those legal sites are not avaible in my country.
