nothing like the blonde hair blue eyed germans who commited a genocide vs the dark skinned israelites who happen to live on a dessert. all the while scientists like joseph mendele doing experiments on living humans to discover ways to kill more efficiently. with fuhrer hitler as the leader.

right. . . . .

not to mention how knowledge leads to the development of greed, pride, jealousy etc. through the acquisition of knowledge and subsequent utilization of it, has the ability to immortalize ones self. oh and finally at the top, the idea of a deity which must be overcome in order for evil to triumph

New to anime?

oh yeah you're right, was focusing more on the concepts than the characters

and yes i've only seen a handful of them. hated naruto, inuyasha, bleach. probably because i tried to watch them as an adult. but i grew up watching db and dbz so i like them

the only series i have enjoyed are fma, fma brotherhood. gits sac I and II. gungrave. cowboybebop. and deathnote was ok i guess.

but the ones i've enjoyed are still unique and original in their own rights. i feel like fma brotherhood has been the most unoriginal i've watched.

Same here, I think DBZ was the gateway anime to many.
You put way too much thought into FMA Brotherhood, just learn to enjoy them, it's not bad to think into them, but you can't expect everything to be completely original.
It was a good concept, and it was delivering a point.

Check out Death Note if you want originality. It's theme imo is corruption.
"With power comes corruption" would be my take on it.
Best anime I've ever watched.

yeah i actually enjoyed deathnote. at first i thought it was gonna be silly. the original concept threw me off. but it defiintely got much better as the series progressed.

one of my favorite lines was "i can't imagine a life w/out light!" " yeah that would be pretty dark" lmao

i could totally related to light's thought process. very paranoid. however some of his reasoning was a little "too perfect" especially considering the possible variables when dealing w/ people are literally countless. overall it was good though.

and despite the unoriginality of brotherhood, i still liked it. however personally i liked fma original better. the idea of the energy for alchemy coming from the deaths of individuals from the reality that you and i are apart of was very original. as i understand it brotherhood followed the manga, which i never read.

still wondering which anime i'll watch next.

Genre.

scifi is my all time favorite genre of any type of show

but really so long as it's adult situations, (no highschool for the love of god) then i'm down. or if it has some kind of highschool theme, then they finish it quick.

pretty much anything that doesn't revolve around teenagers.

death note is the best anime uve ever watched? its been a couple of years since ive seen it but i remember not liking it b/c of the character L [i think his name was L idk..lmao if im wrong i sound super dumb] and the two other people like L. teen guy and a little kid. those 3 characters imo made the show stupid.

hrm actually the black little guy in the flask first killed a bunch of the blonde blue eyed people to get a white body hrm!
