I thought the show is pretty overated and horrible. The story develops very slow and the characters are not cereal enough/very annoying(brooke and the minotaur for example). All the story about so far is Luffy going to find enemies and fight them. Only part of the show that i thought was interesting was when they tried to rescue ace.

shows with story structures, not just the typical find enemies, beat them/get ass kicked than go train and beat him, level up, repeat process
just pointing out op b/c fanboys ussually say its so awesome but when it comes to bleach n naruto they say it sucks.

Barely above Fullmetal, but still above in my opinion. Code Geass, not Death Note.

it all depends on how u look at it i guess.

i think the story is pretty solid, everyone has their own backstory and goal they're trying to achieve.
its got great humor, awesome boss fights, cool moments, sad moments... its got pretty much everything rolled into one big package.
