I don't watch a whole lot of anime, but I've been looking for something new to watch, preferably a good action/fighting anime with badass characters, fight scenes, etc.

Also preferably something not too old (i.e. within the last 10 years), with nice animation and not hundreds of episodes. I'm not really into the perverted ones or the gundam/mech ones. I really like animes where the characters have their own powers or use weapons (swords, guns, etc) to fight.

What I've Seen (that was released in the last decade):

Bleach - Watched most of the series, stopped after the Aizen fight.
Naruto - Watched about 150ish episodes, I enjoyed it, just too much filler.
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - My favorite
Darker than Black Season 1+2 - Entertaining
Kuroshitsuji - Just finished, was okay, boring at times.
Death Note - Awesome.
Ao no Exorcist - Good at first, but ending sucked
K-On! - Surprisingly entertaining
Yakitate! Japan - I loved this one, really funny.
Afro Samurai - Awesome
Samurai Champloo - Awesome

Hitman Reborn - Watched 10 episodes, pretty lame imo
Code Geass - Watched 3 episodes, couldn't get into it.

So that's about it, might have missed 1 or 2, but yeah if you have any recommendations I would be more than happy to try some out. I usually watch the first 3-4 episodes before I decide to keep going or quit, so something that is good from the start and grabs my attention would be good. Thanks

hitman reborn does start off really boring, but it picks up and is pretty badass, i forget which episode it takes off on, you can pretty much just start watching from there and not miss anything since the beginning is so lame. should really give it another try

I'd definitely advice you to try to get into Code Geass again. Also give Legend of the Galactic Heroes a shot.
Maybe Hajime no Ippo? It's very entertaining to watch and surprisingly varied despite being about boxing.

Berserk and Claymore are both pretty badass as anime, but the manga versions are way better if you have the choice. Another great similar manga is Vinland Saga.

Reborn gets better after like 20 or 26 episodes then turns into a true action shounen.

now to list some more

One Piece - yes it might be over 10 years old but if you stick with it in the end it will be worth it just youtube any fight that happens later in the series
Fairy Tail
Hajime no Ippo
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
Beelzebub
Gintama - might seem like a weird recommendation since Gintama is a comedy/parody anime but believe me when I say it has some really good fights/serious moments you can probably find em in youtube
Soul Eater
D.Gray-man
Gurren Lagann

Thanks for the replies

For the people who said Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragonball Z, and Rurouni Kenshin. I've already seen all 3 and they were awesome. I didn't list them because I don't think they were made in the last 10 years, but yes I have seen them.

One Piece is like 500 episodes, I don't think I can handle something like that lol.

My friends have been telling me to give Hitman another shot so maybe i'll do that... the beginning was just so retarded, maybe I'll skip to like ep 20. Also Fairy Tail looked decent, maybe I'll give that a shot.
