Didn't know there was an OVA for this. Was it any good? and should I watch OVA before starting this?

There are some annoying chars though. I recommend watching the OVA first, as its serves as a prequel (thats what I assume at least, there were scenes from the OVA in the first ep).
The OVA can also be used as an "enjoyment indicator". If you dont like the first Ep of the OVA, you'd probably dislike this series as well.

is this worth watching? going by the description i read it sounds interesting more like your calm slice of life with a little mild comedy threw in and probably a little drama i dunno there's 3 eps out i think and have yet to watch them but it sounds good.

been considering picking this up but still not sure

the food aslways looks good most of the time and if you make the same thing irl it doesn't look the same or as good but usually tastes pretty good. I've made some Ramen bowls identical to some i have seen in anime and they tasted great.
i even got one of those Ramen bowls ( forgot what they where called think they have another name ) damn try eating one of those bowls full of Ramen/pork/egg/radish/scallion etc... i was stuffed XD
