Man I used to LOVE It until I was like 16 or so

Im 30 now and I find most of the scenes where people talk way too boring for the anima to catch my attention... I like It when people fight or there are interesting thoughts like in death note but for the rest I feel like those talks can be skipped

I want to get back 😭

Yea, a lot of anime are like that now.

Slime became" worse talking than Ghost in the Shell which I didn't think there could be a worse anime for that.

What was the last anime you watched or tried out recently that you found interesting anyway, might help so we can give recommendations

That's it an original anime, so it's hard to give a good recommendation. Where as other popular anime have the same premise as a lot of others.

Hm. I was going to suggest maybe Vinland Saga, Beserk (even though that is bittersweet), To Your Eternity, or Hells Paradise.

By only watching really good animes. When i was 13 years old (20 years ago) i used to watch a lot of animes, but nowdays i cannot do that, if the dialogues, the characters or the story are bad i can barely watch an entire episode. The situation here bro is that you are more selective than you were in the past, so watching crap is not an option anymore. look for the best options out there before you watch anything, that might save you some dissapointment.

This is actually a really good response. Times have changed and it seems like they are just pumping out half baked anime to keep up with the demand. Though by doing so, they have cut out a lot of what made a good anime. Options were a lot more limited as well. Using backdoor sites or apps to get the newest episode of (insert poor translated, but OG anime name here) There are some good ones still around, of being made but not many to hit that satisfaction like back then.

Hmm, I have watched a ton of anime, I would not rate DBZ as #1 or #5 now ... simply put, I find it... "blah or something out of Superman comics or cartoons and movies..." Okay... many will hate, however... it is just an opinion from 1 person, not the rest of the viewers selection.

Speaking about DBZ, it is interesting that I just started watching Demon Hunter (Chinese Illustration) and the character evolving reminded me of DBZ and going Super Seiyan (or whatever white hair and all that guff).

Now, these shows have a lot of firework scenes when fighting and everything is golden and colorful with rainbow colors or mystical animals and demons, beasts and blood etc ... however, there is also a lot of romance, poetry including revenge, backstabbing, multitudes of enemies (foes, nemesis etc) or I will avenge and die trying stuff which I can not express in words for YOU.

I watched these during my time waiting on anime to come out:

Soul Land... now this is a cute show... starting young and evolving like you would creating a character in a game... at the start it is slow, it builds up for later seasons.

A Record of Mortal's Journey to Immortality Season 3 ... episode 74 last watched. Is what i just caught up on yesterday ... this is more of a story about the journey and all that guff... there is a lot of romantic stuff and honestly ... 100+ years of being a gentleman is unheard of etc... Romantic right.. again a character building and foundation over the years... which in this program, they tell you how long he goes into a cave for like 60 odd years to gain power.

Battle Through The Heavens 5th Season ... episode 150 ... last episode I watched last night also... now, I did not watch S1 upwards, I actually wish I did... Poetic, romantic, and definitely "I am not a loser, etc" ... hard to express because I did not watch earlier seasons.

Also currently watching like Demon Hunter (basically like the above 3 I expressed) and it is basically about a boy seeing his mother die at 6 by demons and dies ... since he is the protagonist... you know the story, however, if it wasn't for me watching a few of the other shows listed, I would be lost, or I would have watched them because of this show... however, this one is more faster paced in comparison and not so romantic or poetic... only 2 seasons, I only just watched the first one.
