I just tried to watch the 1st one with the Wife last night, she last about 20-25 minutes then had to turn it off rofl

Art seems cool though.

First is way less general audience friendly.. second is more kitschy

But still very brutal. The crowd during my showing had several audible gasps

Just watched both of them.

First one seemed more brutal, second one is weird. Fingers crossed for part 3

based on the credits scene there will certainly be a 3... second definitely felt different from the first

I preferred the idea of him just being some psychotic murderer dressed as a creepy clown. Not some weird demonic being

2 felt like a way to shoehorn the series into a yearly halloween movie where the good guys could win without killing off the bad guy

1 was a top tier horror movie (IMO)

Well it’s grossed $8 million off a $250k budget and has been submitted for Oscar consideration.

by no means do I think it was a bad movie, just vastly different from the first, for commercial reasons.. but I enjoyed it and I'll happily watch another in a while

Oh yeah I still liked it. The scene with Art and Sienna in the Halloween store was so good
