So I kind of liked evil but really wasn't horror and I didn't care for the episodic story, I kind of like the stories to be spread out over the series and interconnected. Not sure if that makes sense. I watched Archive 81 and actually really enjoyed that one, maybe some more like that ? I seen Stranger Things, Locke and Key, but looking for something new and a little darker.

I seen the haunting of hill house and bly manor absolutely loved them wish there was more, also seen the other one he made about the vampire priest (lol). Any suggestions?? Thank you !

Castle Rock might not be what you're looking for but I thought it was alright

American Horror Story has like 10 seasons, I've only seen 2-3 of them though

Yeah I just don't really know a lot about Stephen king, a lot of people say castle Rock is a very slow burn lol. I seen it was cancelled too I wonder if it ended on a cliff hanger ? I probably will check it out.

Yeah AHS I never really watched but a couple episodes here and there. I was actually thinking of trying to start from there beginning and see what it's about.

AHS is a new storyline every season, very hit and miss but there are some good ones. Out of the 3 I saw, I enjoyed 2 (although I can't remember which season they were)

Archive 81 (found this creepy.. different take on the found footage genre)
The Outsider (another S King adaptation but was made by HBO, very decent)
Midnight Mass (very Stephen King feel, small isolated community life where bad/strange things begin to unfold)

AHS season 1 - the house
AHS season 2 - the asylum (best season by far)
AHS season 3 - the circus
AHS season 4 - the coven
AHS season 5 - the hotel

These seasons are decent - didn't rate anything after hotel though.

*edit

Didn't spot you've already seen archive 81.. doh

I binged archive 81 too , it's okay

I enjoyed midnight mass, that was trippy but slow ( I liked the main character, he just had this permanent sadness to him]

Yeah i liked archive 81 I wish there was more like it, guess I'll check out season 1-5 of AHS see if I like it along with the outsider. I'm surprised more straight horror series doesn't get made.

I also liked a lot Archive 81, Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Bly Manor (didnt like Hill House).

About Castle Rock, season 1 is realy good but season 2 is a big fail imo. But i have to say Sissy Spacek is incredibly good in this S2 !

I would recommend you Marianne (french short show), Penny Dreadfull (3 seasons), The Strain (4 seasons), Hemlock Grove (3 seasons).

I also liked The Outsider like someone else recommended it to you, but not very horrific imo.

The Exorcist (2 seasons) is a waste of time imo :-(

The Terror (season 1) was cool (i didnt watch S2 yet).

Bates Motel (5 season) can also be considered as an horror show. Its decent.

Sweet home season 1 (korean) is my last very good surprise as horror show
