So I'm looking for fantasy shows to watch with my girlfriend, we loved Stranger Things, The Witcher 3, Game of Thrones, Wheel of Time, The Umbrella Academy, Shadow and Bone, Sweet Tooth.. and we kind of liked Fate a winx saga. Any suggestions ?

But the main question is Locke and Key scarier than stranger things ? She doesn't like scary shows but stranger things was kind of perfect balance of having a darker side to it but not really horror. Is Locke and key the same kind of show ? Worth watching?

I think you could check Legend of the Seeker. This is not huge like GOT but i would rate it like Wheel of Time S1. Actors are good, FX are correct, landscapes are beautiful and this show has an ending even if its written "cancelled".

I also highly recommand you Carnival Row with Orlando Bloom. I enjoyed a lot S1.

Grimm could also be a thing you may like and not that much horror parts for you gf

Locke and Key is not really scary at all. It's not a full on kids show either, but it's got some cool mystical/mysterious/adventure to it. If you like Stranger Things and Umbrella Academy I'd say to give it a shot. Although if I was ranking the shows it would be below Stranger Things and Umbrella Academy.

Awesome thank you will def check them out ! So far Locke and key is okay. The first season is really good (yeah me and girl binged it, we was both off for two days.) It kept the suspense really good and we both thought the story was good. Visuals were good too. So far two episodes into the second season were not so hot on it but it's not bad just have to see where it goes from here.

So I would definitely suggest giving it a look. Definitely not scary at all, idk where it gets the horror tag from. Just keep your expectations in check and go into it for something fun. But ty for the suggestions



Yeah I would have to agree with this but I actually found the first season to be up there with Umbrella Academy but as I said above I'm iffy on season 2. Stranger Things is GOAT class to me tho

Never read the books, it's a "kids show" in the same way that Harry Potter is or something. Still plenty enjoyable as an adult because there's adult themes that keep it interesting. Some of it is a little tacky but characters die and there's blood and hard choices and costly mistakes. It's just plain good I dont wanna give you a summary beyond what you saw in the trailer.
