Totally forgot this was a thing (I know happened years ago).

Watched it last night... it was everything I could have ever asked for.

If only Jay had laid off the meth/crack or whatever he was on for all of those years... his current pitiful state was too big of a distraction for me to really enjoy many scenes from what I remember.

Blasphemous. It was perfect for what it was supposed to be.

Being a huge Kevin Smith fan, I booked tickets to an event in Olympia Washington when the movie came out. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith were touring the country and going to small venues like this one, where they'd do like an hour performance thing, talking to the audience and taking questions, then we'd all watch the movie together and they'd do another Q&A kind of thing after. In that environment, with everyone as happy and stoked as they were, with all the nostalgia and throwbacks, with Smith and Mewes themselves leading some of the jokes and chants during the movie, it made for a hell of a good night and an amazing movie experience.

In reality, it wasn't a good film, it coasted on Smith's previous success with callbacks and pandering to the audience. Honestly, it seemed like his way of giving one final nod to the universe of Jay and Silent Bob, the universe that had made his dreams come true after he took a fucking chance and went all in on a low budget black and white film. I'm always going to love those films, and against my better judgement I had decently high expectations (I blame the surprise success of Clerks 2 for this). If not for the environment in which I watched the film, I'd have been severely disappointed, but it made for a lifetime experience and I spoke with Smith directly, which made me giddy as a fucking school girl.

You have a strange way of viewing the world. Still hoping that one day I'll know for sure whether this is genuine, or what your main is. Would only be able to applaud you for the dedication you've put into this act. I do get a kick out of the *smart* kids being unable to go 5 minutes without getting their multis banned, then there's you, going on 1.5 years without a care in the fucking world
