It 100% was not staged lol. Watch the unedited version of Will Smith yelling at Rock once he gets back to that seat, that level of Rage and pure emotion was not scripted.

Dude is touchy about his wife. I went a little overboard, but it was a light slap, so not sure how anyone is thinking the dude is an "absolute POS" for it. Rock seems to realize he stepped over and Smith apologized, get over it and move on.

He didn't cock back the full way, it was like a 30-50% slap man. What is Rock going to do? Throw a punch and get his ass beat lol? None of this even makes sense.

e: Dude handled it well, but you can't be surprised that a mother fucker got slapped for talking shit about someone's wife with a medical condition. This happens in any other context, with different people, and you'd be saying Smith was in the right.
