What is it about?

It's a remake of a movie from 1947. Twisted a bit to play up like a fucked-up horror movie. It succeeds in every way. Can't really describe what it's about, you sorta just have to watch it.

This trailer does it pretty good justice. It's so good.

I though it was a pretty good watch. Originally the role was supposed to go to Leo who ended up backing out of it, but Cooper did a phenomenal job I thought anyways.
Cate Blanchett was phenomenal imo

Going into it I was expecting more horror since it's Del Toro. He still had some of his trademark "monsters" in it, just not as typical.

Hard agree on all of what you said. Surprised me on how much I enjoyed it, and just how well it was done. Very tight writing. Didn't expect it to play out the way it did, very well done.

Honestly wasn't that impressed. If they cut a good 30 minutes out of the run time it would have fixed the pacing issues at least.
