i just watched this as well.
Although it can't be called a 'great movie', I think it might end up being a meaningful one. Between this and Free Guy, it seems that Hollywood is finally scraping together some pieces that could eventually show how to make a 'video game movie'.
If elements of its structured are expanded upon with some better writers, we could eventually see what we've been waiting for: a video game adaptation that finally sets the blueprint for the genre.
There were segments that really gave of the feeling of what makes video games fun. Trying to figure out what you need to get to the next level. Trying again until you finally learn how to beat the next boss.
