20/10 movie as in Perfect-perfect !
I was cheering, laughing, the entire time watching and adoring the story and the movie !!

Winstead and the Japanese teen girl both fucking badass !!

Totally recommend this surprisingly fantastic movie.

I mean... it's just a blatant and less entertaining John Wick ripoff. It's also somehow even more predictable.

It wasn't terrible for what it was, but perfect is a huge fucking stretch.

5.5-6/10 If you can ignore some of the more cringey aspects of the film, and if you like these type of mindless movies (as I do) in the first place.

I totally enjoyed the movie. Excited to see a sequel, maybe "Kate 2" or "Ani"

Thanks for posting this thread. It's a female John Wick type movie, but gonna check it out. Looks great.

Everyone calling this "female John Wick" but you know that's the proper fucking way to do something. So tired of all this "remake male movies with females" bullshit. Like the talk about how the next James Bond should be a woman. Like no, give women original characters please. Not hard to make a spy movie and not call it 007.

The best way to enjoy "Kate" is like the way we did. We watched it with the English subtitles on, (or you can use subtitles in your first language if available) and full blast sound system, enjoying the Japanese hiphop music/soundtrack and the famous "Band-Maid"

This way, it feels like you reading a manga, and watching action movie at the same time. you'll be enjoying every moment and every minute of the movie.

How could it be watched any other way? There's no even english dubbing for the like 10% of the dialogue that's not in english.

It was okay. Good for one watch because of the action, but it wasn't anything engaging. Winstead was good in the role and the action was on point, but the story was just whelming.
