Typical shit tier cable drama.
It starts out decently enough, a strong performance from James Spader (Raymond) bumps the show from run-of-the-mill garbage to an actually decent show, for awhile. Unfortunately, like all major network shows, they have no real intention of telling a cohesive or interesting story. Their only goal is stretching out the show endlessly to make more money, until the show inevitably becomes so unbearably bad, that it's hastily cancelled and everyone is left with a shit taste in their mouth.
We've seen this done time and time again and until the networks realize that telling a completed and good story is better in the long run than this moronic shit, there will never be a major network show that even scratches the jock strap of what premium channels are producing.
In short, it's worth watching if you understand and are okay with being disappointed down the road.
Raymond is still good, the problem is, everyone is confused about the he's past.
