Has anyone on jsp watched it yet? This movie blew my mind. I actually agree with the academy on this one. Trump doesn’t agree because he didn’t watch it. And for those that are illiterate, it sucks to be you.

Yep, it's a master piece. I thought Caucasians wouldn't understand it as much since the difference in culture but I guess it was clear enough lol.

A lot of details in the movie, I watched it 3 times and I notice something new I missed.

My friend over hyped it for me and told me that the ending will remind me of requiem for a dream which is my #1 movie, i was kinda blinded by it and didn't actually read his message properly, was really annoyed at the end of the movie as it had nothing to do with requiem for a dream. After i read it again and spoke to my friend he was referring to the end scene where they talk on the phone to each other and lying to them selfs like "everything is gonna be ok, ill come find you" but you know that they are fucked (similar scene in requiem where Harry and Marion on the phone to each other) also in the film you almost believe that they made enough money and bought the house but its all just a dream....same type of wishful thinking symbolism


Overall its a very well made film but it could have been much better for my personal liking

It was awkward situation that they were in but it could have been made way more awkward and weird

the ending massacre was awesome, really enjoyed that

i should watch it again at some point later, now that i know it has nothing to do with requiem..ill probably enjoy it more than i did

I liked it. Was entertained throughout and the ending was fun.
Wouldn't consider it as a masterpiece but it's an enjoyable movie to watch.

i meant cultural details like the ram don scene, scholar rock etc. if you understood those references kudos to you sir.

I didn't realize that was cultural or some kind of secret reference. Who hasn't tried mixing delicious things together for ultra delicious shit? My dad collected geodes and shit, so I didn't think too much of the scholar rock. It seemed perfectly normal to me and the rocks journey from this metaphorical symbol of wealth to a literal tool of death, was one of many brilliant things done throughout this film.

I loved every second of this movie and I've never been to Korea, or any Asian country. Korea/Japan are both on the bucket list, I've got my "Japanese brother" who I'd love to go visit eventually, but it cost an arm and a fucking leg to actually enjoy yourself over there.
