I just saw this movie. I had no idea what I was getting into when I first checked out this movie from my local library. It is definitely one of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen. It got me thinking pretty hard about our society. I think this movie reflects our society pretty well. Have any of you seen this movie? What did you think of it?

It was ok, actually I hoped it would be "weirder"
I love the director Yorgos Lanthimos though. He made some awesome movies. (Dogtooth, Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Favourite)

Was alright. I like ‘weird’ films, so that could be why. It’s not for everyone that’s for sure

Well, I didn't like it at first because it made no sense. But after I thought more and more about it, the more I realize how brilliant that movie was.

The humans live in a world where, if you do not have a relationship after 45 days of being single, you will be turned into an animal. That was the law of the world (I think, if I understood the movie correctly).

It was crazy. But when David (the leading star of the movie) found another group where everyone had to be single - no relationships allowed - it was just as bad, maybe crazier.

It made me think of the society we live in. How much do we take for granted? Are some of our "societal rules" just as insane?
