The previous topic was apparently only around for S1. S2 has been out for awhile now and S3 is confirmed but no date announced.

I went in with low expectations. I figured it would be some mindless action/gore stuff. But S2 was really good. I understand why it got such high critic ratings. It's a very low time investment (12 short episodes) to get caught up for S3.

S2 has a Game of Thronesy feeling to it (political intrigue, betrayal among high ranking war council members). It doesn't pull any punches, being willing to surprise the audience with twists. It's very well paced, driving straight to the resolution of the main conflicts rather than dragging things out. And it has a few moments of offbeat humor thrown in that really caught me off guard and made me laugh out loud.
