Pretty good show to not have a thread yet. Been one of the only "new" shows I picked up this season.
Started off like any King novel, half character introduction, half spooky mystery introduction.
Middle so far very king-like, creepy and disturbing events, mystery only gets deeper.
Last episode that I watched, #9, took a hell of a hard left turn. Seem to be adding in dimensional travel into the mix, as well as what appears to be a time loop. Not that King is completely foreign to the sci fi genre, but this sure is out of line with his more traditional monster driven books. I think many people, like me, were expecting a rather straight forward "that kid is the devil or a demon" story. This wrinkle seems to indicate the story is going to get VERY complex from here on out. However, with the villain now softened, where does the story go? Now that, seemingly, the goal is to set the Henries straight, its not really a horror story as much as a sci fi adventure.
Doesn't a lot of King's stories involve some sort of multiverse? I don't know how you didn't see that coming tbh
I was excited after the first episodes, but the last 3-4 I sorta just dragged through, and left unimpressed.
