I don't see any possible way that this can be good.... fantasy is all the rave, and the Witcher (for some fucking reason) is one of the most popular/talked about games of the past three years, so even if it's shit, people will still probably like it.

Exactly. It's not bad at all, it's a pretty enjoyable game, but it gets boring FAST, at least it did for me, and it's been talked about nonstop for three years now. If you frequent any place with memes or w/e, it's one of those things that's talked/raved about CONSTANTLY, and I just don't get it lol. With that much hype around it though, I see why Netflix is trying to cash in and it can go a couple of ways. It could be great, there's always that chance, but game adaptions have historically been absolutely fucking dreadful, and I'm not expecting much for this. It could be painfully mediocre, and just off the hype factor alone it'll get 3-5 seasons even if it's not good, but not bad. Or it could be just awful and people could rage about it being an insult to the game blah blah. I'd like to believe Netflix wouldn't let something that embarrassingly bad happen, but I watched the Deathnote movie, and they really don't give a fuck about pushing out shit.

Hope they at least try to stick to the books.

(This is going to be a book adaptation, not a game adaptation)

I think there's a lot of potential

But probably won't be done properly as it's most likely just a money grab using a franchise name

Netflix prob want this serie to be their main event to compete with all the other platforms, of course its about money and gain more users but imo it can be well done They are in contact with Andrzej Sapkowski who is the author of the of the booksand they hired one of the employee who worked on witcher 3 cinematics. Imo its a good start and i have faith in this project

Witcher 3 was the best game I have ever played. GOAT story.
