Better than JJ Abrams,

I’m not a huge Star Trek fanboy or anything. But I thought Abrams first Star Trek was good. I haven’t seen the others

i must be a bit out of the loop on how this works, someone fill me in please



Why would JJ be a recipient of the pitch? Is he a producer? Does he have some relationship to the Star Trek brand that makes him part of the process of a movie that he wouldn't be directing?

Was never fan of ST but sounds interesting

Both the ones he did were great imo. I'm very excited for this.

im surprised but not surprised. i just expected a sci-fi movie to come out from him. im just surprised its star-trek and not something original.

However will be amazing and interesting duo for sure

I’m thinking paramount owns the rights to Star Trek and Abrams is just attached to all the films, or maybe has part ownership to the rights. Something like that. He might have contracted himself in, smartly, to have say in future installments.



I would assume it will be a completely original fresh take.
