I really enjoyed it overall. I feel like the pacing took almost a dead stop toward the middle for no real reason though. I was looking for more story telling to be honest, that's what it was lacking in my mind. You get to alpha, where you think you're going to see all these awesome alien cultures etc tie in some how but it didn't really happen.
I never read the graphic novels or watched anything else so I'm not really sure if it followed a pretty close plot or not.
After the virtual market or w/e I lost interest somewhat until valerian found his lieutenant again, before she was being prepped for a meal.
The core story telling, that actually made you feel some what connected to certain characters was almost exclusively the pearls or w/e and they weren't hardly included otherwise except for dialogue.
On mobile so this probably makes no sense, and horribly thought out / written.
A lot better than what most people write on here.
I understood everything.
(Still need to see it though to see if I agree or not)
