2 criteria:
-A movie that is completely dominated by a single actor. Castaway (for example) with Tom Hanks. Other actors only appeared on screen for the first 20 minutes and the last 20 minutes. For a solid hour, the bulk of the movie, Hanks was the only character. I am Legend is a similar movie. Aside from flashbacks, Will Smith spends the first hour of the movie as the only human character in the story. Will Smith is the single vessel through which the audience perceives the story. It isn't until the very end that another human joins the story and the audience is given another perspective. Omega Man is another one of this type of movie
-The single main character is not portrayed in a positive light for most of the story. The audience is led to root AGAINST him.
