Are you going to watch the show? Are you interested? Which movies/actors/directors are going to win?
Pretty hyped, I think most of the nominated movies are a product of the "white washing" scandal and are pretty bad and forgetable. But I like watching the show, just Hollywood praising itself.
I guess La La Land will win in the most categorys, personally I would give the best picture to Arrival. Not an incredible movie but enjoyable.

Need a lot of coffee since it's going to start at around 1 a.m. in my timezone. ^^

Hidden Figures was an amazing movie, regardless of any anti-white washing. Taraji P Henson got snubbed, IMO, for a Best Actress nod.

Yeah decent movie, pretty family friendly but I don't know if it's historical accurate. Just didn't impress me that much.

I've only seen Toni Erdmann, pretty good movie. Even gets a Hollywood remake ^^

But yeah, probably the most interesting films in this category, always worth watching.

Film editing is shit? A really good editor can take average footage and make a phenomenal film out of it. The converse is true, regarding great footage and a subpar editor.

I haven't seen any of em yet but I do make a point of watching all nominess in this category, plenty of good to be found. Sweden is nominated this year, I don't think we can win but I'm pretty excited anyway.

Yeah our country (Germany) too with Toni Erdmann, i hope they make it since Hollywood already wants to make a remake.

Oh, you're German, nice :D Yeah Toni Erdamnn seems like it should probably win based on reviews etc. That's the one I'm looking forward to the most, anyway. I was supposed to see it in theatres but I got sick that day and let my ticket go to waste :(
