Here I will chronicle all the films I watch and give a brief summary of my thoughts, as opposed to a numeric rating. I would have posted this in user blogs but I've got too much warn.

So I've watched a few recently:

Tombstone (1993) - The only thing I really enjoyed about this film were the acting performances of Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell, especially Val. Doc Holliday has to be his greatest career performance. That being said the film is far too long and the story isn't as linear as it should be.

Lost in Translation (2003) - Really good film, Bill Murray is awesome in it. I wouldn't go as far to say that it's one of the best films of the noughties, but it's pretty unique.

I'd recommend you post here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=27560213&f=197&o=18050

I remember Kamahl16 making blog threads about him watching Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Woody Allen, etc movies, but those served the purpose of creating discussion about those directors with the people of the forum. This being a general movie blog thingy should just go into the last movie watched thread we all use, imo; if we all made our own, the front page would be flooded with blogs.

That being said I'm glad you are planning on giving your thoughts and insightful opinions, and not the typical "watched batman, 7/10". Not that I have anything against those who make those kind of posts, but I always appreciate some brief comment as these can sometimes spark interesting debates and provide new viewpoints (not to mention numerical scales are subjective.... for instance I usually consider a 6/10 to be decent/interesting/pretty good, while others might say that's mediocre at best).

e: btw I agree on your opinion of Lost In Translation. I also really liked some of the shots; it's a very good film from an artistic point of view. Haven't seen Tombstone though.

If I posted in the last movie I watched thread I wouldn't be able to chronicle every film I watched without sifting through 100 pages. If it bothers people here that I have a thread of my own I'll post in that thread.
