I've been playing https://fantasymovieleague.com/ with a bunch of people in the German Sub Forum ( http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=74969520&f=149&o=200 ). The last 14 weeks were kind of fun and the new winter season just started.

Fantasy Movie League is just like a Fantasy Sports League.



You are the owner of a virtual cinema. Every week you are allowed to spend 1000 Bux on movies you want to show. You can choose between 15 different movies which you show on your 8 screens. Multiple screenings are allowed and even necessary for the best score.
The system will calculate the price for the movies, new and big releases are pretty expensive, bad and independent movies are pretty cheap.

The Box Office will be calculated for a weekend (Friday - Sunday ) and the person with the best predictions will take the biggest pot for his cinema.

Each week is an entirely new game with new releases and movies, but there are also rankings for the complete season ( now starting with winter for the next 13 Weeks).

Deadline for your picks is every Friday afternoon (depending on your timezone). The website will update the box-office predictions over the weekend but the correct numbers will be released on Monday evening - Tuesday morning.

Pro Tip: Try to fill out every screen since you get a penalty for leaving them empty. Even the worst crap will bring you some Millions so it's worth picking them.

Neat idea not sure if I'd have time though is it quite time consuming like a sports league? picking rosters and what not?

lol this sounds like a huge fail. Of course Germans would do this.

5 mins. a week. Unless you want to spend more time gathering information.

You can read blogs, look at predictions or even at the view count for trailers on youtube. There are charts for the community picks, etc. You set the limit.
