It was a little tough to get into the wizarding world in New York. Whereas in Harry Potter, you have a little bit of London and a LOT of wizarding world. In this, you have a LOT of New York, and only a little bit of wizarding world.
I'm nitpicking, but it just didn't give the same feeling.

Don't know, I love the Harry Potter series, maybe because I grew up with it.
But I'm not hyped for the new pentalogie and I got no intention in watching it.

If you're a fan of HP you'll like the movie. It's not some random side story, it's a prequel to the original books, centered around Grindelwald & probably dumbledore
