Do I need to watch angels and Demons to watch Dante inferno or it doesn't really matter?

Also do I need to see the jack reacher in 2012 to see the new one? I mean usually you don't need to watch previous action movies..

Why would you have to watch angels and demons to watch dantes inferno?

It's just inferno, no dante.

And if you want some of the back story and motivations for the characters, yes. But it's not really required. Funny thing, angels and demons actually came first before the da vinci's code for the novels. They change the story quite a bit. They also skipped the lost symbol.

Same applies to jack reacher. The new one is the 18th book in the series, while the first movie was based on the 9th novel in the series. So for all intents and purposes, they're separate contained stories. Might be one or two references to the previous film, but nothing you'd really need to go out of your way to see.
