Was too hyped for me I guess

How was it hyped? There were like 2 trailers and they both made the movie look like complete trash.

cuz from my area, everyone says it's a must watch and it's good shit etc.etc.
imdb/rotten rating were also 7.9/86%
Plus the trailer didn't show much, which was a good thing

?? The trailers literally showed the entire movie.

Hype can also be a form of advertisement.

This movie had a LOT of internet advertising.

It really didn't

Didn't see a single online trailer and I'm perpetually online in one form or another.

The hype is real, and the hype comes from positive reviews as horror films usually doesn't get positive reviews.

Any hype that I encountered was because of the stupid plot of the movie
