Really good first episode
I like where the show is going and the transition from season 2 to 3 was solid

I hope they don't delve too far into the book origin and instead have their own spin on it. Didn't care for the book's origin of the strigoi.
Didn't care for how they ended nora's arc last season either. The dynamics between her and Fet, while Eph was on his drinking binges was entertaining to read.
Don't know where they're going to take Fet, now that Nora is out of the picture.
First episode was pretty solid though.

Not 1 cringe moment the whole time

In regards to my previous post, ep was strong, cringe was almost nonexistant, but why were the marines tech screwing up randomly at the end?

They had a hacker take out the internet, it's not like they're opposed to using technology. It's possible they had a jammer, or the psionic power of the master interfered with the electronics.

Obviously this. They even foreshadowed it with the "technology will not help you against the master" bit lol.

So the master has psionic abilities? That he can localize?

All of the ancients do. Any time you hear him speak, he's actually broadcasting it into the person's mind via telepathy, since they don't have the ability to speak anymore.
They pantomime the act of speaking and people don't realize it's only occurring in their head.
He knocked them out with something the book calls the murmur. A incapacitating mental shockwave.
