watched this movie in school when I was a kid, was some feminist shit. All I remember is:

main character is a young girl (young teen maybe) pretending to be a boy (wearing boy clothes etc)
USA, 19th - early 20th century
maybe had something to do with teenage/child labor
they were at some type of orphanage or work camp, doing mining or something
girl pretending to be a boy beats up a boy in the bathroom or changing room or something

all I remember... just maybe someone will know it.
