-daddy going after the random guy alone, leaving his other family members
-daughter running away again after a chance at reuniting with mom and bro
-the purging mob would not risk getting into close quarter situations like that in reality, running around as if they were the only ones with weapons, getting slaughtered 1 by 1 as they split up
etc. etc. etc. etc.
The 2nd one had better motivations and far less idiotic choices made. Too much luck on the protagonist side but that's not enough to ruin the movie like the points i made above did do. The first one had decent actors that somewhat saved the first movie by a tiny bit though...
I didnt bother with the second one after seeing the first. To be fair though beating better than the original certainly would not have been a difficult task lol. The concept was great but their execution of it was pretty shit.
