Grew up playing the first games..
But seriously they really rushed this film, should've been an extra 40 minutes so there could be some character development...

It was just, awful. The film itself was alright. I really had to TRY the entire film though... i really had to force my inner child out..

3/5 for sure

I would say that the movie tried to look at the bigger picture, but I will agree with you to some extent.

More supporting background would have gone a long way.

happens with many games to movies

#1 they are really trying to slap as much as they can onto the board so the sequels have a stronger foundation. As a result of trying to be so broad, they have to give up depth.

#2 Baysplosion tards are the more important segment of the audience for this movie. They need to rake in the revenue from international audiences in order to ensure sequels.

In an ideal world, I would love to "hope" that the first movie was Phantom Menace and things will get better like Revenge of the Sith. One reason I am hopeful for this is because we know that the later parts of the lore (Thrall, Arthas, Illidan) have much better characters than this first part had.

Orcs have feelings too, guys.

Mainly because the lore wasn't that fleshed out for the earlier games. It wasn't until Reign of Chaos did we really see the lore shine. I just hope they make it to Arthas. The battle of mount hyjal and the rise of the lich king will be awesome on the big screen.

Two hours isn't a lot of time for film making.
