So i thought it might be a handy thing to have a thread at hand which contains a list of movies that dudes in general can like and that are of the romantic type. There are various occasions of course for when this might be suitable for you.

what's the difference between romance movie for dudes vs for girls?

i'm familiar with books. romance novels targeted at women usually have an average woman protagonist and attractive/perfect/fun males, and the story revolves around the guy woo'ing her.

is that the same with movies? so a romance movie for a dude would have an average male protagonist and a hot girl?

/edit: i enjoyed f-f romance non-sexual novels. Movie-wise, Jenny's Wedding and Show Me Love are both on netflix. live action romance always seems so weird to me. i prefer anime for rom-coms.

The first thing you need to do is grow up, and eliminate the idea that males can't enjoy romance movies. There's nothing wrong with liking something.
