So i just watched the 5th wave and it fucking sucked! I dont know if its just me but lately the last two years i have found movies to be really over hyped and just turned out plain shit. Think Hollywood is going down hill?

theres average entertaining movies and then theres bottom tier trash such as the 5th wave, must have quite the crush on hit girl rofl

Like for as much advertising and hype promotion it was so pathetic.

I didn't see any hype for this movie anywhere. You guys must really be emotionally invested to care about it this much.

Personally I go into movies looking to be entertained, not looking to pick them apart and point out every single error. If a movie doesn't entertain me then whatever.

Also it is a movie focused on child actors... Obviously it isn't going to be good. Seriously, use your head.

When its youtubes ad every 5 videos, continuously advertised during prime time tv and its smashed throughout social media , not sure if you are blind or a loser with no social media reach.

What you are referring to is a general question i asked if other people feel like the over hype of movies isn't living up to the finished production lately.

For a movie which is focused on child acting the trailer barely shows that is what its agenda is, there are plenty of somewhat sub serious movies focused on child acting which give a much better representation.

p.s who tf goes to the movies to pick apart films apart from critics? Does this mean if anyone shares their opinion or asks people for a opinion on wether a movie is trash means they don't go for entertainment purposes and soley to judge the tech side of a film? use your head

B4 the movie, i wanted to buy the book for about 22 Euro, hardcover. But i thought about it: Let's watch the movie first. And the movie was mediocre, so i don't have to spend 22 Euro on the book and the same amount on the 2nd.

I actually really enjoyed 5th wave for the first half of the movie
Thought it was awesome

Then it just... plummeted into a D tier movie and I was wanting to walk out.

Such a shame.
