Not movie selected female action stars, just television series.

I myself say Maggie Q, but, both Ming Wa Nen and Jessica Alba are/were good in those shows.
Jennifer Garner seems decent in ALIAS and her fight scenes as well.

EDIT: Mind you, Caity Lotz is up and coming with the TV show Legends of Tomorrow.

I like Sarah Shahi in Person of Interest, but that character isn't a flatout superhero character

Katheryn Winnick plays a warrior character in Vikings and that's higher quality than most

To be honest, I did forget about Person of Interest, but I believe she appears in around the 3rd season
her character role isn't bad, but not that much fight scenes.

As for Vikings, only watched around the first season, personally didn't follow on from there, as for
a Warrior cast, I should have left Xena out of the list... I guess next time I will have to make
a post for Medieval acting, then I can include women from Game of Thrones.

My vote goes to The Calvary.

the Starbuck chick in the new Battlestar Galactica? that was a good series and she was a fighter char for sure

are you referring to the character or the actress?

how are you defining best? most attractive? most popular? skilled actress? most interesting character?

when you say star, do they need top billing? or just appear in an action show as a regular cast member?

The original 'la femme nikita' was way better than the newer one IMO. and Buffy is way better than dark angel.

Buffy choreography was okay for its time, as for the actress, her prowess wasn't great, but, that is my opinion, and I did like watching this program.

It is based on the Fight Scenes, how it flows constantly, how the actress martial art skill shines out... I know that a lot of it is crap, but looking for at
least a bit of flare and skill. Who really cares how they look, how popular etc.

Fight sequences etc.
