Thomas Jane will always be best suited for that role Imo.

I think 2.0 will have a dark side that the original could not reach. Although he must be given the benefit of the doubt because that dark essence wasn't captured as well early 00s

Looking forward to it. I wish they would've gotten Frank Grillo to play Castle. But he's playing crossbones in the MCU, so he was out of the running.
Jon Bernthal looks like he'll do well though. Judging by the interviews and early reviews, he's going to be outstanding as the punisher.

Jon Bernthal is such an annoying actor imo. I really dislike him. Sucks that he was the one cast...

Which is why they are not comparable . Don't get me wrong I think he was amazing too, but unfair to paint jon poorly until we see what he's got.
