After the destruction of star killer base Rey and Leia console each other over the death of their mutual friend/loved one. In this scene Leia walks right the fuck by Chewbacca to console this girl she's never met. Why would she hug the dog??! Yuck! Go take a shit outside Chewie!

Who the hell would be more upset about the death of Han Solo? CHEWIE!!!!!!!!!!!! They go back farther together than ANYONE alive in the star wars universe!

In the original star wars trilogy, Chewie didn't get a medal after the destruction of the death star in "A New Hope."

Star Wars hates Wookiees!

Chewie was obviously on his way to the nurse to be consoled, he ain't got time for some wanna-be 'general'.

If this is the biggest thing that bothered you about the film I'd call that a win.

That was a small thing about the film that bothered me. They kind of downplayed the reaction to Han's death...sort of.

To be fair though Han was the only father figure Rey has ever had and Leia felt her pain. It makes a lot more sense to humanize the main character of the new trilogy who has actual speaking roles over a man in a suit that growls.

Honestly Leia going to Rey made a lot of sense once you think about the fact that they are both force sensitive. Feeling Hans death and then feeling the pain Rey was probably emitting pretty strongly would have connected the two in a way no one else could experience.

I don't know . It's weird they put so much trust in someone they'd known for not even 24 hours.

How long did they know Luke before he was a part of a top secret mission to blow up the Death Star?
