There is imdb want to see list, I suppose you could use it as a "what I've seen" list.

E: I believe you can also make custom lists on imdb but the want too see list is easy because you can just search the movie/show and hit the little bookmark thing. Not sure how the other lists work.

I use rateyourmusic.com

I think the layout looks a bit archaic to someone when they see it for the first time, but I love it. It's very simple when you get the feel of it.

A lot of people use letterboxd but I don't like that website at all.

i just use imdb.

it can't help you figure out what episode your on,

but its great for rating movies and if you cant remember if you watched a specific one a simple search is all you need.

I prefer IMDB but ZiggyStardust tricked me into using RYM so I also have that, it's pretty good. I think the members generally have better taste on RYM so that's a plus.

A major upside to RYM is that films are categorised by style instead of genre. On IMDB a hundred different kind of Drama films are clumped together under the "Drama" tag but on RYM there's tags for French New Wawe, Neorealism, Coming-of-Age, Romance etc etc goes on forever.
