What did you like about it aside from the acting? what was it about? is there any similar films you can compare it to? I see it's listed as Action / Drama, would you say it's heavier on the drama side or the action side?

Not trying to be rude but these "epic movie, 10 / 10" type reviews don't give me any clue as to if it will fit my taste or not

Benicio del toro needs an oscar. It's an action thriller based on Mexican cartels and the drug war. I'd compare it to the movie savages if I had to pick one. Between savages and hitman.

The movie to me has a good story and insight into the things that the government most likely does and doesn't tell you about, for the good of the country. To fight monstrous evil, is it necessary to become evil ourselves?

The cartels were a great focal point to that question specifically because of their gruesome ways and how prominent they are

i loved the movie aswell it has a very serious and dark athmosphere in it, something that director is very good at showcasing for example, Prisoners

the cinematography was beautifull and benicio's character was badass

9/10 prob my favourite of the year so far

All the acting was great, especially the main characters but shout out to jeffery donovan from burn notice, he was great too

He's a bit underrated imo, he's in fargo and he's good in it like most things I've seen with him in

Both Savages and Hitman were complete shit though. This does not look like shit, so I sure as hell hope it's nothing similar to those movies.

No.. do yourself a favour though and just go see it.
