Im pretty sure he is the villain. Thats why he's not on the movie poster either. Cause he actually is

1:40 mark. Doesn't show his face, but it was obvious.

i am encouraged to see that the scenery has a somewhat "gritty feel" like the originals and unlike the "polished" settings of the prequels

other than that, the trailer wasn't exactly encouraging. it has me worried that they will rely on action to carry the movie.

I just assume its Abrams being Abrams and he doesn't want to give to much away. Like he has done with other projects and their trailers. And a project this big you want to save the BANG for when you actually see the movie. So just showing tons a random shit to build hype.
