Anyone still watching this? It's been up and down recently, a lot of weak characters but I think the ending on the season two finale just solidified the show as horrible.

One of the cheesiest and worst acted scenes I've ever seen. Ugh....I'll give it one more season, but holy fuck was that scene bad. I'm not big on spoilers, so I'll just say you'll know what I'm talking about if you watched tonight's episode.

Still need to watch the finale of season 2, but I quite like the strain a lot.
The only thing that bugs me is the kid they chose this season...

I really like the show whenever the kid isn't in it. Seriously why are all kids fucking idiots in movies/tv shows?

I was really hoping the plan to get the kid out of the city worked, was looking forward to the show without him.

I loath the little shit and it just got worse this episode. I still enjoy parts of the show. Just been a lot of bad/pointless character development this season. That, paired with how bad this scene was, is just rough. Just has me deeply concerned about the future of the show if that's how they execute a dramatic season finale.

Like I said, I'll watch for another season and see what they can do. I was just insanely hyped after the first season and I'm just not feeling that now,

Little bit disappointed of the finale.
I mean idk if he was finished reading the lumen, but what he read was kind of obvious... It didn't really say how to kill the master.
Also wish that the kid would of died instead of Nora.

If you read the book, the kid is spot on, you may not like him but he fits the character accurately.

Fat, annoying, ugly? Is this his character in the book?
No but srsly he isn't a very good. I wonder if he will be in next season

That is super disappointing. I was really hoping del toro had nothing to do with the tv kid. Look at pans labyrinth, he knows how to do likable intelligent children. I wonder why he decided to make this kid a complete fucking moron who is utterly unlikabl in every way imaginable. What a waste of life.

Might've been chuck's brain child. He wasn't meant to be likable. Just a catalyst for Ephraim's hitting of rock bottom and other thing's for the Master.

They've touched on source material a bit while giving their own flair to it. Nora was supposed to hook up with fet, but she was infected and offed herself. Basically she grew distant after Eph went on a binge from losing his son, which pushed her into the arms of Fet. We've seen how self destructive Eph has been this season, it'll get worse, much worse.

I'm still hoping they do away with the book origin of the master and ancients. Wasn't too fond of that story arc. Though judging by the pictures in the lumen, it looks like they're going to stick with the source material on that.



It does tell them how to kill the master. But not in the way you think. Certain events have to transpire for the professor to realize what the lumen actually entails. It's basically a biography of the ancients and the master.
