roland emmerichs early work was awesome, then he got carried away i guess with his imagination lol. stargate and independence day were his first 2 films i believe which were good. 2012 was pretty good imo aswell as the day after tomorrow. He has always been about those global catastrophe/special effect imo either way his films are always worth a watch

No Will Smith... will probably suck. Might suck more if he was in it. But still, can't watch with out him.
