if it was more sci fi and not religious themed, i'd probably keep watching. 5 people get powers to stop some alien invasion or whatever. but after they force a failed chess metaphor into it, i had enough. seriously, do they even look at the board? it's not a fucking checkmate, he seemed to have three knights, etc. even if they had the board right, if he couldn't see a mate in one that early, he wouldn't have bet thousands of dollars on a chess match in the first place against a stranger
