Whoa, first ep was a little dark. I kinda hope the show ends in a fucked up way.

It's so weird to see the character's progression now. They feel strange in a now, 1970's world?

the circumstances are constantly changing

the people really don't change as much as you would expect over 6 seasons imo

Look at Peggy. And you can see that Don clearly has demons. He's seen and done some shit.

I dunno, I think they have.

i thought it was kinda weird how hard don took rachel's death

she was such a minor character that i completely forgot about her and had to pause the show to google her name

even her wiki page is only like a 4 sentence paragraph

and im assuming he sees rachel in that waitress, that's why he kept going back

Yeah but don't you remember what a big deal she was to him? He was ready to give up everything to be with her and settle down. He had thought he found someone who thinks like him. He opened himself up to someone, made himself vulnerable. Clearly, in the back of his mind, he's had regrets and what ifs. And now it's too late. He starting to get used to the mortality of this world. Before, he felt invincible.

Agreed, Peggy has changed since her debut.

Don...I'm not quite sure. Like I said his circumstances are constantly changing but his overall persona and view on life I don't see having changed too much. What specific changes do you think have occurred with Don's core views?

The character development this season still impresses me. Outstanding episode.

Holy shit, I felt what they were feeling as all of that was unfolding. A very broad range of emotions. Scary.
